This policy explains how My Pension Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit pension.my, book a pension advice clinic, or subscribe to our updates. We are committed to handling your information in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
My Pension operates this website, arranges bookings and collects payment for pension advice clinics, it is not itself authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our lead adviser is Pete Watson (FCA reference PXW00440), who is also connected to My Pension. Clinics may also be delivered by other FCA authorised advisers we work with, whose own registration details will be made available to you.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name and email address, when you book a clinic or subscribe to updates.
- Booking information handled through our scheduling provider, including the date and time of your clinic.
- Information you choose to share with your adviser during a clinic, so far as is needed to give you relevant guidance.
- Basic technical data, such as browser type and general location, generated automatically when you visit the site.
How we use it
- To arrange, confirm and remind you about a booked clinic.
- To allow your adviser to prepare for and deliver your clinic.
- To send newsletter updates, only if you've subscribed, and only until you unsubscribe.
- To keep the site secure and understand how it's used, in aggregate.
Legal basis for processing
We rely on your consent when you subscribe to updates, on the steps necessary to perform a contract when you book a clinic, and on our legitimate interests in keeping the site running securely, where these don't override your own rights.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with the scheduling and email platforms we use to run bookings and newsletters, and with your adviser to deliver the clinic itself. We don't sell your personal data, and we only share it with a regulator or authority where we're required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and communication records for as long as needed to meet our regulatory and accounting obligations, and delete or anonymise them afterwards. Newsletter subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
The site uses only the technical cookies needed for booking and, where used, basic analytics to understand overall visitor numbers. It does not use cookies for advertising.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it for legal or regulatory reasons.
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
